Managed WordPress hosting is a concierge service where all technical aspects of running WordPress is managed by the host. All of our Managed WordPress plans include security, speed, WordPress updates, plugin updates, daily backups, website uptime, and scalability.

Because our managed WordPress platform gets your website up and running quickly and you never have to worry about core, plugin, or theme updates. We’ll handle all the System Administration so you can get back to doing what you do best.
How often are WordPress core, plugins, and themes updated?
We push updates to WordPress core, plugins, and themes within 48 hours of release. This allows us time to test and ensure the stability of the release for all of our customers.
Do I have to hire you to build my website to use your Managed WordPress hosting?
No! While many people and businesses do hire us to design their websites, it is not required. If you’d like to try your hand at building your own site, go for it! You can always hire our experts to help if you get stuck.
Are there additional costs?
Nope! There are no additional costs associated with our Managed WordPress hosting plans. When you host with Dependable, the cost of your hosting is the only cost you’ll pay.
What kind of support is included?
All of our plans include email support 24 hours a day and phone support M-F 9am-5pm PST. Our support engineers only applies to the technical aspects of our servers. They cannot provide design or development support. For that, we suggest you hire one of our pros to help you or check our knowledgebase to see if we’ve already answered your question there.
How to set up the theme?
Your Managed WordPress hosting will come preinstalled with Enfold – the most supported premium WordPress theme in the world. There are a number of other themes available under Appearance –> Themes in your WordPress dashboard.
Do you offer refunds?
As part of our 30 day money back guarantee, we will issue a full refund if you’re not completely satisfied at anytime during the first 30 days. After the first 30 days, annual renewals are non-refundable.
Can I change Plans or cancel at any time?
Yes! We understand that as your business grows so do your hosting needs. You can always change plans or cancel by navigating to the My Account tab in your WordPress dashboard. Please note: we only retain site files for 30 days after cancellation.
Can I install custom themes and plugins?
Yes! You can apply to have your premium or custom plugin tested on our platform. There is a $50 testing fee per plugin which must be prepaid and is non-refundable. While we’ve found that most custom plugins are compatible with our platform, we cannot guarantee that yours will be. If we find that the plugin provides a feature or functionality that other customers could potentially benefit from and we decide to offer it on any of our plans, we will refund the testing fee.
Can I move a WordPress site to Dependable?
We’d love it if you did and we provide free site migrations! To get started, submit a support ticket in your support dashboard. Keep in mind that if your site requires the installation of plugins or themes not currently offered with our plans we do charge a $50 plugin testing fee for each plugin or theme.
Will I have access to CPanel, FTP, or SSH?
No, our Managed WordPress plans currently do not include CPanel, FTP, or SSH access.
What security mechanisms are in place?
We place a strong emphasis on security, and we’re always looking for ways to improve. We currently use WordFence® premium to protect our entire network.
Do I need to setup my database?
No. With our Fully Managed WordPress Hosting, we take care of everything so the process is as easy as possible for you. Once you’ve purchased your plan, you can immediately create your website or start blogging.
Can I export my site if I decide to leave?
Yes! If you need a copy of your site files, you can submit a ticket in your support dashboard and one of our support engineers will send you a link where you can download them. To import them, you will need to install All-In-One WP Migration from the WordPress plugin repository.
